Why There Is No One Better To Be Her Mom

When I became mother to my girl, I began to recognize the sphere of influence God assigned me to and how absolutely everything — my personality, experiences, the resources I have and the investments God has made in my own life — all of those things have uniquely equipped me to be her mom.

I can say with confidence that there is absolutely no one more qualified on this planet to raise my daughter than I am.

I don’t mean that in a prideful way. I say it to acknowledge that, regardless of how good I feel or how much I trust or don’t trust my abilities on any given day, God did not make a mistake when He gave that little girl to me.

And he didn’t make a mistake with you either.

God’s way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.

Psalm 18:30

Mom, you can own your assignment because you can trust the One who assigned it.
