In this episode, you can be a part of what happens when Jess and I get together: we talk about girls and how we love them and how it’s time for the line of crap this world is feeding girls to go bye bye. We cover a lot during this episode, and I love having Jess share her perspective as someone who is not so many years removed from the experience of a young girl. I’m not old (Well, I am getting there – happily, by the way), but she’s 23 and closer to that time in her life when she felt the same way a lot of girls do.
Jess is an avid reader and she mentioned the book Captivating when we were talking about how fantastic it is that God made a woman, that He wasn’t done creating this world until he had put on the finishing touch. I like the idea of that. God wasn’t done with this world He made until He made us.
During our talk today, Jess also shared how she spends her time when she’s not doing Bible Belles stuff: she works hard as a leader and mentor for Young Life, an organization that works to bring the love of Jesus to young people. It’s beautiful and awesome to hear her talk about it.
